Launch at big river day beach and if nobody is there, head upriver.  Watch the bottom if you haven't been there before.  There is a rock pile about 80 ft to the Arizona side of the second island past the rv park....hug the island on the AZ side.

Thanks guys yea I have been there Twice so Im kinda familiar with the Rick pile and I think the big river day beach is right by the house we rented so we should be close, can't wait see u guys soon

even though its marked, someone from our group hits it every year.  :screwy:

best advice to anyone that its their first time on this section river is follow someone up. its not the most difficult section of the river to navigate, but sometimes helps if someone points out the danger areas.

Lol second island.  right where you can go back in that channel. (only attempt at when water is all the way up and then some)  there used to be a boys scout camp back there.  (my uncle took his boat back there about 10 yrs ago. nothing but cat tails).  floated down from the bridge in a tube in the early morning a few years ago and there is rebar sticking out of concrete blocks!!
