theres a convenience store up that way too

theres a restaurant there on the water, but ive never been to it...

and its not that far to go to parker for any other foods.

I used Google Earth and got some satellite shots of the area between BR Inn and the dam. I'm not gonna tell you where you should or shouldn't boat, just look at the pics and make your own decisions.

Here's one from about BR Inn, down river a little way.

Here's one from about BR RV Park up river a little way

Here's one of the upper sand bar area

Here's one of the area above the 62

The area between the upper sandbar and the bridge is pretty carefree.

Here's one just to remind us all why we like The River

Dumas walkers is the bar
the catfish cantina opened back up again but beer and wine only
green mart has minor grocery stuff, they have a decent burger sandwiches and pizza cash only
the restaraunt is the dock, it's at the day use park, plan on being there a while. Food isn't too bad
down river is pretty uneventful unless you go all the way down to lost lake area. Chromey search for a half ass guide to big river that I made last year for beaches and coves etc.

Last season it was $18.00 for entry and ramp fees.  Well worth it for entry into the ("unofficial") SCJB event of the year  ;D

For some reason, I don't remember the park fees being that much.... :screwy:

I had $7 in my brain, but still $18 isn't bad. Musta been $7 at ANOTHER unofficial event, yada, yada, yada....
