that there are boat races running at Elsinore today and tomorrow? How come none o you bitches mentioned this hmmmm??? ;)
-
I think those are water ski races, not boat races.
This weekend there are NJBA drag races in Bakersfield and next weekend Bakersfield has APBA/SCSC circle racing.
-
Boats is boats. I'm leaving now.
-
Well that didn't work so well    I have just gotten back from 2 hrs at the Dodge dealer and they still can't tell me why my truck won't come out of FWD or 2nd gear. :banghead:
It get worse because I leave dealer to drop boat off back at home and then when I start truck to go back to dealer and POOF now it is back in 2WD. I go back to the dealer anyway and Serv Mgr just shakes his head. I got a baaaad feeling about this. The truck has 8K miles on it, I don't wanna feel nuthin' but gooooood.
-
If anyone cares, check out the pics from Elsie over at RDP. There is a wicked Nordic with 2 out drives and one twin turboed motor that is sitting waaaaay forward in the boat. Simply bad ass.
-
i like to put my truck in FWD on the ramp just because its a good time to keep everything lubed in there...well when i was leaving i clicked it back into 2WD and im driving and my truck is pulling to the right bad i was like WTF?? so i pulled over thinking a tire was going down...well it was fine so i clicked it back into four and then back into two and about a 1/4 mile away the right wheel finally clicked out...wierd never had that problem before
-
i think i know the problem its a dodge ;D
-
Of course it's a DODGE I wouldn't have it any other way :D (My 23rd Mopar I believe) Awesome customer service, just got it back, cleared a code and we are good to go. I don't think I will have any more troubles with it (he says with his fingers crossed). No I gotta decide whether to go to the VMX races or the ski races tomorrow. F'n great to live in So Cal.
-
you don't have to rub it in :'( all we got in merced is....well.....nothing
-
Forgot to mention the Thunderboats in Mission Bay only 1.5 hrs away O0
-
Off topic, but my brother was having trouble with his AC not getting cold in his 3500 Cummins, quote from the Service MANAGER:
"Better get used to it, the compressors go bad all the time in the Rams, I am on my 4th or 5th one in my 2007"
I told him that the rams were shit and that I have never had that problem in ANY car/truck that I own or owned!

This is Mike Avila's "Warpath" Twin SBC 412 ci 900 each ! Long time ski racer and now does driving duties from what I was told .

I dont know for sure if Mike also owns and drives the TT boat but aside from the mills . The boats look almost identical . Very sick rides for sure . Gonna try and go for sure tommorrow .

The AC compressor deal is common, the accumulator is undersized...
-
That's not funny GT. Other than gas mileage my only gripe with this truck is that the AC seems overwhelmed on hot days. On the other hand my 225,000 mile Ram has never even been serviced and it blows colder than a witch's tit. What exactly does an accumulator do?
-
mine is a GMC and no complaints...it had to goto the shop because it got broken into though

Hey GC, the accumulater on an automotive air conditioner actally keeps liquid refrigerant from entering the compressor, if you try to start the A/C when the truck is super hot inside, all of the refrigerant is in the accumulator and not in the condenser (the coil by the radiator) or the evaporator (the coil inside the cab), there is also something called a reciever/drier, IMO they are too large on the newer trucks, making them hold too much refrigerant on hot days, the liguid refrigerant does not "compress" and hydraulics the crap out of the compressor making a loud banging noise when initially started up, my '05 Ford Super Duty does the same damn thing...
