Jim,
The Moyle's have pretty much let anything that is jet driven run in that class, we have had river boats with big V bottoms all the way to flatbottoms with huge engines. Since it is a local class, Don Moyle could help you with any questions at (208) 654-2033. Entry fees are $200 for the weekend plus APBA promo fees and membership if you are not already a member. Please call Don with any questions.
Thanks
Mark Maier
Chairman
Burley Regatta Committee

just got off the phone with jim he said he qualified 3rd in the shoot out. toby is in first at 74 mph :o and then a guy from idaho, dont know what happend to the injun or the 410 boat other than they are there, a total of 6 boats if i'm not mistaken. toby has allready spun out twice, i'll keep ya posted as i find out.

If Toby's running the same combo , That is really slow for him . The spin outs dont surprise me though . Toby is fearless in that boat .

thats what i thought, but jim said they added about 100lbs to tobys boat and that they were at 10,000 feet of elevation. but the more i think about it that sounds more like jims mph, cause we know toby can run aroun 90mph
man i wish i was there

Seriously bro ! I wish I was there too , I'm just glad the Cucci's got the "splash" back together . What a history that little rig is gonna have . 8)

I am going to take what was said above with a grain of salt because most of it seems like pure exaggeration in someones favor...
and Burley is not at 10,000 feet....not even 1/2 of that....more like 4,150 feet.
My case rests.

ok guys just got off the phone with jim and the standings as of today are 1st toby 2nd idaho boat 3rd jim, thats all i got. i asked again about the speed and he said toby is doing 80 and jim is at 72/74. my thinking is this, jim is still running the same speed but toby only runs 80, he was running faster than that at the last 2 events we all went to so i dont know whats going on. just relaying the info i get. i asked about nick cj410 he ran out of gas ???

Toby's speed could have something to do with the altitude and tune up.

in talking to jim about the CJ53 boat about a month ago...he said he talked to them and they said that they were going to try to slow that boat down because of the DQ's for breaking out. Since this race isnt speed gonverned, that wouldnt make much sense for them to do that.
Looks like jim aint gettin his mink. :P
-
i'm going next year, this is killin me
-
I talked to jim last night and I think what is killing everyone is the barametric pressure . It's fluctuating alot and killing everyones tune up . I'm sure the alltitude is up there as well .
Toby would probably pull that little "SPLASH " boat apart again if they didnt tune it down . Jim says it's been a tough race for everyone .
