The following dates and locations are planned** for this year's SoCalJetBoats.com events....

October (Early in the month - date TBD) Laughlin, NV @ The Avi

More like they should schedule around SCJB trips! haha....jk....I have yet to see a schedule but figured the dates would be the same as last year and previous years....
edit: I just looked at SCSC's site and it looks like I cleared all their dates and SBRA is lookin to do the end of april instead of mid march.
Chris - Sorry that date doesnt work for ya. The other dates planned for the year appear to be better for ya :thumbup:

Thanks for pointing that out...i had no idea easter fell on march 31st.
Does anyone object to moving this date 1 weekend earlier March 22-24? I cant push it into april as the first weekend of April is the Parker Circle Boat races.

My brother and i wont be at the fathers day trip this year at big river. We are going to be on a house boat for a week in cottonwood cove. It was a christmas present from our parents and some family friends. CANT WAIT!!!!
other than that i should be at every trip with the new boat, if i ever finish the damn thing.

I don't think I have ever made this trip, but my birthday is the 20th, so maybe this year will be the one. Hope so anyways but dang I got a lot of other committments right now. :banghead:

March has 31 days so there is another weekend still in March after this one. At least there is when I do the math in my head :banghead:
John, youre a little late to the thread. the original dates for the march event was the 29th-31st. due to easter being on the 31st, i changed it to the weekend before. chris should be able to make it now :thumbup:

So I got some news.....maybe good news for some...bad news for others....regarding the march trip.
Apparently the Arizona Drag Boat Association is running drag races the same weekend.
What this means is that the river will be CLOSED between the dam and the end of the beach at Bluewater Fri-Sun.
I dont want to move the dates again because the only choice I have is to go earlier in the year. The rates go up a significant amount in April.
So we are going to keep the dates the same, but we wont be able to use to beach at the bluewater like we have in previous years.

I have 30 rooms blocked for us until march 9th. I signed the contract and sent it over. the group rate wont be active until next week. I will post up once its good to go.

Maybe a 30 min boat ride up river. might be longer depending on how fast your cruising

Finally got the float back together and Im gonna miss the BR trip by a week. Hopefully the August trip wont be the 22nd. But I dont control how fast crops grow. Theres always the finale!

It wasn't anything on the trip, she's having surgery on her foot in a week
or so and won't be able to get in the water and school is back in just when
the August trip is slated, but she's played hooky before ! Sooooo... >:D I don't feel tardy ! ::)

I would love to see another event on the lower river, but the problem is it ends up being small groups of people staying all over the area. A big part of the fun of the SCJB events is being able to hang out, BS, drink and just have a good time together after the boats go on the trailers. Unfortunately there isn't a central place that can accommodate a group with rooms and parking for 15-25 boats. McIntyre is cool but tent camping is out of the question for most people and trying to get two trailers down to the river becomes a problem also.
Someone needs to tell the Indians to build another casino on the water near Blythe ;)

You guys know the drill on the existing SCJB schedule that has been happening for the past few years (bluewater in march, avi in may, big river june, big river august, and avi/laughlin in october)
I dont want to move any trips as the above rough schedule works pretty good already. If anything, maybe add a 6th event in July, but we would have to work around 4th of july and any other reoccurring events that happen that month (i think the CP regatta??)

Just FYI southwind regatta will happen in october again. :thumbup: depending on the 2014 racing schedule.
