The Avi will be the host for the SCJB May 2012 trip the weekend of May 10th, 2013. This event, again, is being put together by a guy (IWILLRACE aka Scott) over on PB and I gave the go ahead to combine the two events into one. Last year we did this, it was a majority of SCJB members, PB Magazine came out and shot the event, and gave zero props or mention of SCJB....so lets roll in even stronger this year and dominate this event. Make sure they know who's runnin' this shit ;D :thumbup: :beer:
The Venue will be The Avi Resort and Casino (http://www.avicasino.com/) which is between Laughlin and Needles.
The Event will be held the weekend of May 10th, 2013
There is an event at the Mojave Crossing (venue across the river) that I was told would sell out the Avi alone. I only have 20 rooms per night blocked off, so grab your rooms now!

Group Rate Info:
- The rate is $79/night for standard rooms. They are upgradable to river view for an additional charge. The rate will drop as more people sign up.
- The Group Rate Code is GSCJB14
- The number to call to make your reservation is 1-800-284-2946

I switched my schedule around so that we are in for Saturday and spending night, I cant get Sunday off due to work. I will try to reserve a room Friday for Saturday night because all my "mad" money is gone. ;)
So broke will be wearing a home-made SoCal T-shirt bought from Wal-Mart's discounted irregular sizes complete with magic marker lettering, feels bad. :'(

The story is that security came by and said we are cool with you guys hanging out in the parking lot and having a good time, but theres 2 rules. #1 no underage drinking. #2 no peeing in the parking lot.
no more than 20 minutes later daniel (willowog) shows up after his long drive and jumps behind a truck and relieves himself. within 5 minutes security rolled up 4 golf carts deep. they caught him on the surveillance cameras. EVERYONE got kicked out of the parking lot.

The place is not that big. I will also have four 10x10 canopies on the beach (all have SCJB logos on them) and the usual SCJB flag will be flying as well. If you cant find where everyone is hanging out, you might as well pack up and go home ;D

First time I went, '03-'04?, I had to ask the barmaid/waitress 'how do you get here?' She says 'you're here', What I meant to say is 'how do you get here in a car?' She gave me directions from hwy 95. I also beached on the river (kinda rocky/gravelly), cause I didn't know about the channel/beach/sand :thumbup:
Decent burgers, good fries, and pitchers of Amber Bock, hopefully no more pump salads...

I did my shakedown last weekend with Sean. Both boats ran great, sean has a small oil leak that he corrected last night.
Water levels were up EARLY....I launched at Big Bend by 10-10:30. From our hotel room in Laughlin it looked good as early as 9am.
I also gave the staff at Lazy Harrys a heads up we were all coming so they arent surprised and understaffed. They seemed excited and welcoming for all of us to be there.
This is going to be a great weekend, lets just keep safe.
I will be rolling in Thursday night.

Yep oil leak is fixed, blued my headers quite a bit, didnt have the water valve opened up enough so looks like I will be getting them ceramic coated after AVI

Home Depot has a booster box I think I paid like 100 bucks for. Has a air compressor a work light, a USB plug and cigarette lighter. Don't know why but it does. My first trip to the lake with my boat I forgot to charge my old batt before I tossed it in the boat. No power nothing, hooked up the booster and bam fired right up every time. Even charged my phone with it. What makes it really nice is if you leave it hooked up it will charge off the charging system on the motor.
Well worth the money

Ill post what pics I have that shows just how big this non-event was. Weekend was great till Saturday night at the loading doc area. Was about 5 different verbal fights, with all kinds of different people, and I almost killed a guy. We all know the current flow down river sucks, well this fucking idiot decides to fly by me when I in route to trailer, he seriously flew between me and trailer. I found him in the parking lot and lets just say he will never do that again. Then there was another guy..... and this other guy with a pontoon. I believe one of the guys here with a beautiful white and green t-deck saw it and I believe he even had words with somebody. You know the chit got real when you are jumping out of your boat before its even on trailer and pointing and someone and yelling you the mofo with that boat. lol great weekend.

Ya I heard the launch ramp on sat night was nuts... I wouldnt know though because I was the first one off when we all got back from back bay !! 8) Which was a pretty cool spot by the way!!.. On a side note how about all the flys/moths at the Avi. I saw more peeps practicing kungfu while walking and sitting then I care to remember. Lmao!! Did anyone else also notice the big crater in the middle of the beach? Had to be awesome watching the making of that. I met so many people it was great. Somehow missed meeting Brad and others thou. ahhh definatly that boat earnie got was for sale in pomona or somthin that guy was selling that boat for $800 bucks atliest thats what i got him down too.i went and seen it i only wanted the rims poss trailor but it wass junk.that boat is like a soap box on crack.no offense to who ever floats that thing..my shit is a nordic daytona lay up.4-500 lbs..jet drive big big difference..id sink that boat if it was mine and make it a aquarium.......and bryan if u went to go look at that boat u no what im talking about.. :banghead:

ya it was nice to meet everyone and ...i really liked all the help on ,when i was working on my float after we all took our boats out the water...everyone saw me open up shop and ripping my motor apart ,,my thru transome hose got a hole in it and everyone was pounding monster&yeager and working on ma float..and we nvr gave up..thanx for all the help...and all the bugs were great nats watever they were.......cant wait to chill with everyone again...fathers day weekend..already got the room reserved..who else is staying in the big river inn????
