You know the drill. The Avi will be the host for the SCJB May 2012 trip the weekend of May 11th, 2012. This event is actually being put together by a guy over on PB and I got the go ahead to combine the two events into one. Why not? The room rate is amazing.

So It's getting checked out.
If he gets it back in time, we'll stuff it back in the boat. He's planning on making this trip.
We are really looking forward to this one, hope you can make it this time.

We'll be up in back bay on Sat, so hopefully you guys make the usual sat run up to back bay and Lazy Harry's. With Mama being 7 1/2 months pregnant at that point, the water is a little rough for her to be in the boat around AVI. Plus I told myself I'd never float around the AVI again after putting it on the rocks last summer from the nice considerate people riding the waverunners.

wow what a turn out this is going to be... we now have a total of over 33 rooms.. plus..
from this site and PB.. now if your have book your room great.. and make sure when you arrive you get a room with all the other boaters by the ramp and you get the $45 a night rate
so now if you are thinking of gettin a room you now have til FRIDAY 4-20-12

the big shot at AVI is friends with the owner of priates cove and he asked me if we would want to run down there ??? if so he would call the owner and see if he would set something up for us like boat parking and so on.. so what yas think any one wanna do that as well
my self I,m totally not sure ..this will be my first time with the bird so I might stay close to the AVI ???
BUT NEED A SHOW OF HANDS and I,ll email him that there is some interest..

We just got back after spending Saturday on the water around the AVI area. We ran from Willow Valley up to Lazy Harry's with no problems (about the same distance as AVI to Pirates). I haven't been to Pirates Cove yet but I'd be willing to bet a lot of the SCJB guys would be up for a run down river.
I'd recommend planning something for Saturday mid-day so we have time to hang out and still get back before it gets dark.
So lets start a list of willing participants

its about 25 miles each way from the avi to pirates cove.
I have no desire making that trip. i dont suggest trying to plan a trip like this....just keep everyone at the same place....why split up the group?
$12 drinks and $7 "ships n salsa"? no thanks. If I want drinks, I'll go to lazy's. :thumbup:

I'm easy, I just want to be able to run the boat, float and hang out with the SCJB peeps.

Friday night the wife and I walk with the director and we where goin over the these things..
1. PARKING- we well all be parking in the fenced off right before the boat ramp.. that has cameras and will have extra patrol for this weekend..this will be closed and locked up at 10pm.....
2 THE COVE- ok when you are looking out to the river we have the LEFT SIDE,from the ropped off area for little swim area.. So when you are comming in from the river side it will be on your Right... we have all that area from the beach to the river..
3 Hotel- south wing where we are staying there is totally easy to and from the hotel to where are boats will be you just go out the doors (head west)on the first floor go down the ramp wich is cover by a green cover. then take a left where there are the big white dome like buildings are and there you are right at your boat..
I no there is no good view of the river or ?? but heck it was just fine for us..
So I hope all of us have a safe trip to the Avi-bash and lets have some good ol fun in the sun and the weather looks like it will be really nice 100.. so shine up your ride and see yas at the river..

Was just at the laughlin run last week. For 91 octane in needles was $5.09 a gallon. :o
lucky I only needed to put fuel in the harley!!!!

Just got a phone call from a friend who has a house on the water right next to the gas line over the river by Lazy Harrys, they said i can use the house for this weekend so ill be staying there and meeting up with u guys durin the day... No problem on the spare, I'm glad you didnt have to roll home with that ugly thing lol, no luck on the A/C I was able to get a can in it but noticed the clutch wasn't engaging..it did work for a little while though through the long stretch so it was enough to lift our spirits and keep the ride from being irritating.
