The Avi will be the host for the SCJB May 2014 trip the weekend of May 9th, 2014. This event is normally put together by Scott (IWILLRACE) and I, but since Scott moved to the midwest, I have taken over the reigns on it. Last few years we did this, it was a majority of SCJB members, PB Magazine came out one year and shot the event, and gave zero props or mention of SCJB....so lets roll in even stronger this year (again) and dominate this event. Make sure they know who's runnin' this shit ;D :thumbup: :beer:
The Venue will be The Avi Resort and Casino (http://www.avicasino.com/) which is between Laughlin and Needles.
The Event will be held the weekend of May 9th, 2014
There is an event at the Mojave Crossing (venue across the river) that I was told would sell out the Avi alone. I only have 20 rooms per night blocked off, so grab your rooms now!

Group Rate Info:
- The rate is $79/night for standard rooms. They are upgradable to river view for an additional charge. The rate will drop as more people sign up.
- The Group Rate Code is GSCJB14
- The number to call to make your reservation is 1-800-284-2946

I've never been to a SCJB trip or anything, new to the SCJB scene, but I have a place on the water pretty close to the AVI maybe 10-12miles. I'm not sure if I should drive up on the water or grab a room so I can have some fun and not worry about the drive home. What do you guys suggest?

Never been to an event yet but will try to make this one I have a house in willow valley so will launch there then cruise your way lookin forward to it I will maybe have a room or to at the house free if a couple people need a place to crash

I just emailed my contact at the Avi to see what the story is. If it is sold out, that's disappointing.

Well the trick at the Avi is to call every Monday early for cancelations they always say there sold out but that's the trick u will get one !! That's per management Chris or Daniel top dawgs at Avi I got family that works there so that's the trick !!

I called yesterday around 330 and the lady there "Sandy" knew who I was going to be there for. She knew the group code and said that she was getting a lot of calls for that event under the SCJB group code. Looks like it will be another bitchen turn out by the SCJB crew.

I got clarification on this. There was a rumor running that the Avi is already sold out. This is not true. They are only sold out of dual queen non-smoking rooms in the beach tower (the tower near the boat parking). Their reservation agents are terrible. They just put in what you looking for and stop there and say they are sold out. They dont bother looking to see if anything else is available.
Yes, rooms are going quick, but no, the Avi is not sold out of rooms, only a certain room type in the 1 tower.

Just got ok from the wife gonna try and book a room tomorrow. This will be our first over night stay. Because we're just going to drive back and forth to the Parker meet. From what I here 1/2 the fun is after the sun goes down.

We booked on our room, didn't ask how many were left, buy she new what group I was with and booking was smooth. Still had my info in their system from last year. SCJB people always represent very well, looking forward to another great weekend.

for the record, they dont have the guy out there checking passes until memorial day weekend.....in years past, no ones had issues launching without a pass on this mothers day trip we do.

I have a tendency to remember people more by what they drive also. I can remember cars and information about them 10x easier than people's names. Mostly like the way some of you can remember things about boats.

Well I took the plunge and we booked our room for sat night and we will be staying at our place Friday night and Sunday night, we are excited to meet everyone this will be my first SCJB event. We will be arriving Friday night and leaving Monday whenever.

Hey Heather, Yes we are bringing Pete with us again. The Mothers Day event is like
a family tradition now. He loves hanging out with the SCJB group.
Now if I can just remember; no parking the boat by the sprinklers and no peeing in the
parking lot, although Daniel says it's Ok. Bwahahaha !!!! >:D

I have had my reservations for 4 months. I won't have a running boat, but by god i will be there for the parking lot party!
I can sit on the beach and watch Mike squirt the bridge and do wheelies, all day. That is a show in itself!

I just didn't want to see him beat the bearings out of it running avgas it was set up on E85 but u can get it in havasu so I jetted it for race gas 110!
