The Avi will be the host for the SCJB May 2017 trip Mothers Day weekend of May 12th, 2017.
The Venue will be The Avi Resort and Casino (http://www.avicasino.com/) which is between Laughlin and Needles.

I will be in Havasu with the Baja May 4 - 8. Is there a place I could store my 19' boat in Parker for a few days rather than drag it back to Phoenix and then turn around in a few days to drag it to Laughlin. I would prefer under a roof of some kind. Cell: 281-743-0500. I would really like to make the Mothers Day event.

No, they will just take a CC number to hold the room. They run it when you check in.

They charged me for the first night when I made the reservation, they've been doing it for the past few trips we have made there

Same here, the last 3 times we have stayed there they charge 1 night when I book and then the rest when I check in.

This will be my first trip to Avi, I am wondering if people meet up Friday morning and cruise or does everyone really just go out on Saturday? Do you guys cruise down river to Havasu? What is the morning meet up spot and mid day hangout spot? Sandbar or beaches? Should I bring extra fuel cans (boat only holds 24 gallons)? Just wondering how much cruising everyone actually does. Any tips and previous experience will be appreciated!

Been there myself, did a walk through and compression test on my boat when I bought it. Awesome shop and great guy. Worth the trip just to look at the boats!

I'm a week late damnit..we were just at the Avi last weekend! I just joined SCJB this week and found out about this event. If I would've known about this event I would've definitely pushed the trip back a week. Well you all have fun I will get to the next one forsure. Father's Day??????
