Hey, I noticed in the picture that is included with all of RWYYATTB's replys, Omar seams to be eyeballing that bike rider! Could this be where his passion for hunting in deep brush manifested? ???

in the nostalgia jet class / race is that like the "k" boat races...race to pin and back or more like a circle track race?

we run on the same course as the k's

depends on the location....parker is a pin to pin....lake ming is more of a circle.
IMO, the pin to pin makes for some exciting racing

and thats ok cuz we all know what time it is. lol
all he gets is 5 bonus points for that event as well as the other scsc racers because its not scsc sanctioned he called me because they had a vote on the 5 bonus points, i voted against it but was out voted.

I'm not too worried about it cuz I'm taking next year off. I though our points only pertained to scsc races ??? Oh well , what ever .

No, there wont be any SCSC points awarded at this event, other then this 5 point participation deal... ??? ...5 points? why bother? If you look at the spread, it doesnt benifit anyone.
Jim told me about this 5 point deal, I didnt agree with it either, but I didnt have a say-so in it since I am not competing....im just that team owner guy. :D
I just saw it as him trying to rack in the points cuz he knew his competition wasnt going to be there ;D

Unless I find a hull that is well known for perfoming well in circles , I'm gonna take all the hardware that I have acumilated and stick in my boat since at this point I dont have a problem with poking holes in it and experimenting . I do like the fact that the hull is a plow in rough water which can be a benifit at some point . This year I threw the racing thing on the back burner because of my Hallett and since the Hallett didnt need much work I decided to race (at the last second really) and it was a bad idea . It is a blast but the only thing that sucks is that I'm out there with a "lake" boat , up against "race" boats . I tell everybody after they say "how'd it go" I say " I took a knife to a gun fight". :-\
I went to Big River this past weekend and even with the trailer taking a dump on me , I had a bad ass time . Took lots of pics of my two girls in the water . Got my older one to jump in the river with me while we were floating . The last day I got my 10 month old to sit in her car shape float and kick around in the current . This is why I got a boat to begin with . I can go on and on about how I'm always wrenching on my sh!t at the last second cuz my family gets first dibbs on my paycheck . Just really really bad timing on my part .
All of you guys have made a dream come true for me and I'll try and repay you for it . I'll start by having a boat that performs as well as everyone elses on the team .For that I'll need to take my time and not use my racing time as test time .

I may have a hondo for sale if it doesnt do what i want cuz the wife doesnt like it too small :-\ you got first dibbs on it if it happens. i was just given a cav plate set up for the hornet, i need to do this in order to be competitive with the faster boats, so far ive just been lucky in that my motor makes good hp and that has been my crutch :-[

do you guys happen to have a schedule for the races...i would love to go and watch / and pit crew for anybody if necessary, i can wrench on just about anything.........and i dont mind getting my feet wet either.....(ps..i can wear my brandy new scjb shirt)

The next race is in Burley Idaho in 2 weeks on the 23rd and 24th. There are a few guys makin the trek up there for that weekend.
The next event local to SoCal is in Long Beach on August 11th and 12th, but the Jet class isnt invited due to lack of space and time.
The next event that Team SoCalJetBoats.com will be involved in is on September 29th and 30th at Lake Ming in Bakersfield, CA.
Also, there is the Parker Enduro on September 30th.
And there will be a Thanksgiving Race at the BlueWater Casino in Parker, AZ on November 23rd and 24th.
We mainly race the SCSC/APBA events, but are looking into bringing circle jet boat racing to the IHBA and get involved in the NJBA drags.
