That's not the point. Drag racing 3 wide is never safe in any condition or situation, ever. If any one of the 3 boats gets sideways, at least one of the other boats has nowhere to go to get away from it.
I know you were out front and didn't see the 3rd person tagging along. #2 should have been the bigger person and lifted. #3 shouldn't have been there in the first place.

MPD detailed the aluminum A impeller, 2* back cut shoe, ride plate, diverter.
Spins it at 5200rpms at 87mph. I've been playing with the shoe and ride plate setup to try and get 90 out of it.

That would be my youngest son he's helped from day one on the build nice to see him drive it.
That's awesome, my stepson is 8 and loves my boat. He got sad that I'm gonna sell it when my tx is done and offered me his allowance money for it. I told him we would build him one when he's a teenager

Lol no offense taken. I agree actually although it's surprising how well the old Tahiti has handled the power and how fast we've got it going. I wish I could build a mild motor for the Tahiti and keep both honestly. The Tahiti is super comfortable and has a stereo lol

We went from a 26ft Cat all the way down to my current 19' CP, my wife was worried of the ride quality because she remembers the first boat we had together (19' Bahner) V-Bottom rode like $hit according to her. ^-^
1st ride she took in the CP and the first sizable wave we hit and she was amazed of how well the Gullwings took it!!
It was all downhill from there, she loves the CP but wished we went a little bigger to a 21ft tunnel and so do I nowadays...

That makes me chuckle a little thinking about that Hot Boat magazine shoot. It was kind of a joke. Brett was late and the real model was even later so they used Brett's assistant which was the Asian girl in your boat for a couple of the shoots. Brett a couple weeks later at the Classic Boat Beach Bash showed me some video of the Asian girl getting naked for him. :screwy: A couple buddies of mine showed up to check the shoot out. One of them came up from San Diego with a bunch of beer with him. He happened to know the model since she was from San Diego as well and as soon as she saw the beer she hung-out drinking all the beer in between shoots. lol
However, there was some cool stuff there, I remember your boat being really clean and you telling me about building it. Another cool thing was meeting Tom Crest and checking out his red SWTD that Tom Papp built (they were testing at Elsinore that day). I got Tom to stay for the shoot and Hot Boat actually did a nice write up on his boat.

From what the guy said I understand that is #4 out of the mold from Andy ralls with his tom Papp Cheyenne mold. Guy said the hull weighed 365. It is super thin and nicely set up. Beautiful boat

No, unlucky for us Kendra wasn't there just the drunk blonde model from San Diego and Brett's assistant. The model hung out with us since my buddy knew her and he had beer. She loved to drink. She kept leaving to go to the bathroom because she drank so many beers. I also think she left early to go to another shoot. I couldn't believe the way she was drinking (she must of pounded at least 10 beers) and then she got in her car left go to another shoot. ???
At the time my boat was pretty much stock from the day I bought it. I was just starting to put some money into (I had just bought new gauges, steering wheel and a hydraulic place diverter). Seeing your boat and Tom's kind of gave me a little more of the bug so the next year I had Tom Papp build me a pump with all the goodies and Lew Larson build me a new engine.

His name is Duncan, really cool guy. I believe it's a tpr with a mike Miller motor. He also has a blue 18' gullwing that hauls the mail.
