My neighbor Kirk machined this new strut support for the other boat. Way more stout then the old one.

What I mean is, I like how the flanges that bolt to the strut are an integral part of the truss.  Looks like you had to start with a 4" thick piece of material and carve it down to 3/8" thick at the webbing.  That's hard core!

I told him to make it strong.I gave him a general idea of what I was looking for and he did the rest, it’s actually 7/16 thick and cut out of 70-76 aluminum
