anyone have any recommendations on who can convert me over to a jet set up?  i did some searching on here but a lot of the threads are 2 to 3 years old

Depending on where you are you can try Jim Brock at Cyclone Speed and Marine or Tom at Jet Boat Performance.

If it were mine I'd leave it an outboard! !!! In some cases there faster than anything else on the water. Why do you want to convert it???

That is going to be a lot of work (read expensive)!

To really do it right, the rear seats, hatch, upholstery, and possibly the floor and stringers will all require reworking.

You are probably dollars ahead if you just find one that is already a jet.

As one of the very few on this board with an outboard I'm asking the same question as mobboss, why?

Less room, burn more gas, jet will most likely be slower, etc.

That's a nice boat regardless of the motor.

Stay with the outboard. Put a jack plate on it and be done.
