water injector lines. anyone Diy

Looking too see if anyone has ever bought a set of water lines that were not for your headers and you some how fabricated them to fit. What did u do and what was used. Thanks.

Yep....Mine were flare connections and i used a brake line flaring tool kit and a mandrel bender. What do you need to know? I made a set of lines from some old used crap I had lying around, when I get home i will see if I can get a picture before getting ready to head down SoCal way for the weekend. 8)

I have a pair that need to be extended and bent. I was just curious as too see if anyone else has had this problem. I also have a buddy that needs a set for a SBC 350 water lines and was thinking he can fab a set up himself..

I had some that wthe fittengs were stripped and I cut lines with tubing cutter and installed new fittings and used a tubeing flair tool that I had for brake lines and good as new and cheaper.  I have a friend that made his own and bent to fit with tubing bender for brake lines and flair tool.

What did your friend use as far ad the connection that has the 4 lines coming out of it. Where you connect the water line to.

.035" 1/4" SS tubing flared with tube nuts at the Parker store
.035" 1/2" tube with tiny holes drilled in it.
Tigged it all together. To connect I welded a -8 AN on one end. If I had to do it over I would just weld it straight to the header.
