im picking up a 78 sleekcraft tomorrow n it has a crack in sub floor and small dings and chips out of bottom. How should i attack these fiberglass problems
-
Does it leak?

no chips r not thru hual just outer surface like beached on small rocks

if it is just superficial chips and scratches on the bottom side there is no reason to worry about them or need to fix them but if you must I would use a little mar-glass or kitty hair to fill then paint/ gel as required

rt on ty most r small gouges one is a lil nasty but doesnt seem to be thru haul when i get the boat home ill post pics

Most of us have a few chips and some scratches on the bottom. If they don't leak I wouldn't worry about them.

i have to yank the motor so figure why not do all i can

if its just some chips in the gelcoat and its white, grind em clean and use some gelcoat repair on it, then sand/wetsand em smooth. all fixed.
