Squiggie, Post some pictures of your boat so we have some idea of the hull design.
I personally like the old school styles....I dont like the new style flame/tribal designs that seems to be the trend on the bigger boats....
Heres a few cool gel designs I like....simple and clean.
sorry about the sideways pictures...the site i took them from apparently didnt know how to rotate pictures

its all about personal preference. Just make sure you vent it well.....also, you want to get a blower to vent the air. You should flip on the blower for 10-15 seconds before firing the engine so you dont ignite stray fumes and blow your cover off.

right on ill post some but it will have to wait till i get home from work.
but mine is bacislly the same shape as the first picture that was posted
-
i have a hatch on mine an i like it alot theres no ventalation problems cause i have two sets of chrome louvers one on each side works good for the kids climbing in an out my .02
-
i agree i like the full engine cover as well. if you want speed then it is cool to have the out of the boat pipes but for recreation there is no reason to have something that you can burn yourself on ..hahah
-
id like to get the gel coat redone can you recomend anyone?
-
USCG requires a blower for any covered engines......... just make sure that you remember to run it before you start the beast.

Just for shits and giggles heres some cartoon paint schemes I have made up
