Pulled my motor to put the new one in the other day an once I lifted the motor I noticed one of the rail mounts was pretty loose. So I took the rail off an because it came loose at some point last year it oblonged the holes in the wood. My question I guess is can I just drill them out an fiberglass in a plug of some wood to repair it? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the damage is just the area of the bolt you should be good with drilling and plugging the hole, but if the stringer is starting to rot you won't be gaining much by plugging it.

The damage area is just the bolt holes thru the stringers. After being discouraged I finally went back at it an started poking it with a pick to see if I found an soft wood thru the holes. The stringers appear to be really solid no rot that ive found . so I went an bought some longer angle to make some new rails I'll drill the old holes an use some dowels to plug them an an redrill the new holes in different locations.
