Clear coat film....or something?
« on: May 29, 2013, 07:58:47 PM »
Cleaning up the paint and stuff on the cheetah but I can't seem to get this white film off of my wood grain....vinyl....whatever it is. I've used some pretty gnarly chemicals on small spots and it has worked but I'd rather not use them if you guys have any better ideas. Rubbing and buffing compounds didn't work at all they just buffed and shined it haha or lenses restore with 320 grit emry didn't work. I had success with aircraft paint remover but I don't think that's the right thing to use I'm afraid it'll jack it up.

My guess is that it's the clear coat. Wet sand it.

sand it smooth, mask it off and gelcoat it.  woodgrain =  :screwy:

someone did all the woodgrain on the side and front of mine already. i just had to touch up the dash area.
