For everyone looking to re-gelcoat or spray a new clear coat on their boat, I've got a friend who is going to try this stuff out and then let me know how well it works. I'll let you all know what he finds out.

If this works as well as they say it will and it isn't all advertising HYPE it might be something worth using.

Maybe not... Southern Polyurethanes, Inc is staying independent and I don't think will ever sell out. They have same DAMN GOOD STUFF. Just ask Brad or John Rork.

EZ CleanClear verdict is in.
The EZ Clean Clear works great over HOK and is compatible with SPI.
This clear is tough as nails. You could use a can of spray paint on this clear, let it set for a few days, and it just wipes right off.
So, I guess as soon as I get my hull painted and ready for the final clear coat, this is the way I'm going to go. DAMN, gotta dig into the wallet a little deeper, this stuff isn't cheap.

If it is compatable you can use a flex agent in it. Same stuff you put in paint when you shoot a plastic bumper.

According to the company that makes EZ CleanClear (http://www.motostorm.com/index.html) is as flexible as any OEM finish. I'm going to try it out on my boat later this year so we'll know for sure. It ain't cheap. $208.00 per gallon.

Well the price dictates that it's pro stuff at that price ;D
Sure it will flex well enough to keep it looking good for years of lake/river use... I more like to always hear how they
perform under hot Arizona sun ;) that way I know it will last a life time up here, lol.. :sly:
So do you have a color scheme picked out for this boat's new paint job... huh, huh, huh... :P

It'll be 3 or 4 months before I start the boat paint project. And it might take me all winter to get it done. I've got lots of work to do in and on the hull. Then there the Honey-Do list that keeps growing. :) SO, I'll be happy just to get things buttoned up this week and out on the water to do the final tuning for the summer fun. No scheme for the paint yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something. ;)
