I've got everything else tallied up for my project. I'm getting ready to order my fiberglass supplies and I'm not sure how much resin to order. I will be putting in full stringers in a 18' southwind and filling in the area where my pump is set back. can anyone give me a general idea? 2 gallons 5 gallons?
Any insight appreciated as I'm ready to order as soon as I know what its going to take.
It is pretty much a crap-shoot, but you should be in the neighborhood of 1 cup of resin per square foot of 14oz. cloth...Other types of cloth/matt and so on will be more or less resin. I will say that there is a lot less waste when using a tuned epoxy (tuned meaning you can use different hardeners for different applications and temperatures..With polyester, it is just about mixing the correct amount so you don't waste to much when it "kicks" i the cup....

You will be somewhere between two and five gallons of resin, but that is about as good a guess as any....
