Ok guys, so i've got the guages in, and a bunch of wiring done.. getting there on that, the next thing i figured i'd tackle was the slight cracking around the main floor - which is made up by hopefully.. marine plywood, and glass mat. - getting into it, it appears that the floor was replaced once before, and whoever did it did a shitty job - so its starting to crack around the sides. as i'm V'ing this stuff out, its coming out way too easy..
so - my question, should i just replace that damn peice of wood, or what? it doesent look like it's held in there all that secure, and could probly have it out in ~45 minutes, after i figured how to not break the glassed in driver side seat mount. It does not appear to be warped, but i am concerned of later on - this peice rotting from water getting in there - which is why im going to all the trouble.
another question - this boat only has stringers for the motor.. since im pulling that peice, would I be insane to consider making it mostly full stringer?
Time constraint is kinda an issue, as i just bought a house, close in ~10 days, and have 'till memorial day to hopefully get this done.. but if its not gonna work, it's not.. this thing was a fkn basketcase when i got it, and now its pretty decent.

Your looking at ALOTof work :sly:

hey buddy, nice to see ur alive. i would try and pull it up to see how bad the rot is. Since you only have a partial stringer boat MAKE SURE that the stringers are good. Tap them with a hammer and poke away with a screw driver if you see any dark spots. If you find any soft spots, if they are small use a spade drill bit and drill it out and get a piece of dowel bout the same size as the hole dip it in resin and pound it into the hole, and resin both sides. MAKE SURE that you plug all the unused holes or else you will get rot. That bahner I have been working on has small rotten areas in the very back of both stringers but Im told it can be fixed. Remember the stringer is like the backbone of the boat and a full stringer boat will always be stronger than a partial stringer setup. To convert a partial stringer boat to full it a WHOLE CRAPLOAD of work, its not too expensive but itll take a whole hell of alot of time and effort. If you manage to get the bad piece of floor out, measure it and replace it with some thicker plywood or glass, and if you use wood use a crapload of the thompsons water seal and even cover it with resin if you want. Its all up to you and how much time you want to spend but im just telling you from what I have seen.
