Live in Southern California and looking for a custom boat restorer. I have a '72 21ft Kona and looking to do a complete overhaul. Very picky about my boat and want the best job done. Any suggestions.....il drive within 400-500 miles ??

Welcome to SCJB. Nice looking cruiser.
What exactly are you thinking of having done? Paint/gel, fiberglass structure work, motor rebuild, rigging, interior? There are a lot of shops that “specialize” in a certain aspect.

Paint/gel, fiberglass work , interior, trailer.... Boat runs excellent but might want some performance upgrades on my 460 ford and Berkeley Jet. Basically im looking for a 1 stop shop?

I don’t know if they do gel and fiberglass work, but I’m sure Bob can get it done.

Tom and Josh have done work for members here.
That’s just some of the shops here in SoCal. Havasu has some very reputable shops but they are probably swamped right now with service and repairs.
Boat manufacturers might also be up to doing the work as well if they are slow.
