Option #1: Get the pieces lined up and pop rivet some 1"x1/8"x10" +- alum. strips across the break about every 3"-4"to hold everything in place ( the pop rivets on each side of the crack need to be more than 4" apart. Grind the inside down about half way through and 2" on a side.  Use a couple layers of 6oz glass matt with a layer of glass cloth over that so you can squeegee it all out. Now go have a beer and come back next day.  take the straps off and grind the same 2" on each side of the crack on the top side down to the new glass from the previous step the same way as the previous evening.  You should take the cloth layer off once sqeegeed and go over the matt lightly with a wet brush to lay down any wild fibers ( removing the cloth will lessen the possibility of the cloth pattern printing through the finish.). Now go have a beer and come back next day.  Since these layups will be done complete each night be sure to use a surfacing agent in the resin so it will completely kick off so you can finish shape it with a grinder and sander without the tools getting clogged up with resin. Block out the surface with a disk grinder and 80 grit sanding boards. repeat until it's close to the surface shape you need. Now go have a beer and come back next day. Mask off your garage, the wife's car, your tool box and anything not moving except your repair.  Mix up a good heavy solids two part Polyurethane surface primer and spray on some good heavy layers, building it up higher than it needs to be. Take a rattle can of black paint and fog it over the patch after you have cleaned the gun. Now go have a beer and come back next day. Start block sanding with 150 wet and word down to 600 feathering the edges. This should take you the entire evening. Now go have a beer and come back next day. Are you gel coating or painting? Gel is done the same way as the polyurethane except you start with say 440 grit and work down to 1200 then buff. Paint is paint... Now go have a beer and come back next day.

Option 2: B&K boat Repair deliver, argee to price, come back when done, take home, then go have a beer .

Glass work is not that bad as long as you never have to work up side down 

Thanks Tom ! I think it's gonna be option #1 though , as much as I'd loooove to just drop it off and pick it up . I took it to a shop around here who is a "fiberglass specialist" and they wanted $1400 guess I'll add glass work to my list of things I've done .
