Title: painting bottom of boat? help

i am woking on a project boat i just picked up for 500 bucks its 1982 baja 190br jet i need to paint the boat and was woundering what the best way is to paint the botom. and if any one els has any oter info that will help me during this adventure i would apreciate it this is all new to me. i need engine parts too for a 460 ford.

this is what we did in order to be able to paint the entire boat in one shot instead of doin one side, then flipping it over to do the other...

that is what i was kinda thinking but i wasn't sure if that front loop would be enough to support the boat with out pulling out? and can i just run a single stage paint or do i need to run a gelcoat over top it like i said this is a new learnig experiance for me but hey this is how we learn right. :) thank you for your reply
