i know there has been some talk about bed liner sprays in boats i figured i would try some out.........
so, i got this brand new 1993 chevy surburban, with cool white clearcoat spots comming off on the roof . so i brought the pos into the shop since we were slow....my painter was happy :'( (not) i repainted the hood and blended the fenders that part looks great.....and i was kicking around using this "spray bed liner" kit on the roof of my truck that my paint store rep told me about...so i ordered it 1 "bed kit" costs less than 150.00 comes in black and includes the gun to spray the material..........its called TINTABLE SHAKE AND SHOOT...you can brush it on or use a roller too....comes w/ 4 cans of sprayable resin and one can of catalyst....the resin can comes with enough room to add the catlyst, 3oz of the base if tinting it and the lid and shake to mix well, add paint nozzle and spray away........i tinted mine green like the truck i feel it came out good......you can reduce it 10 to 15% for a smoother texture............according to the directions " excellent adhesion to properly prepared automotive paint, bare metal, wood , fiberglass, and most plastic"
dry to the touch in 1 1/2 hrs and fully cured in 3 days cool little product.....
i wanted to do something different for my surburban this will deaded the sound and keep it cooler in the summer....after a week or so i will add the roof rack back on and it will be ready to use.....here are some pictures of the work.....

John, Did you get your paint booth cleaned out yet? Think you'll get a break in the weather to get your's ready for summer?
-

I would feel sorry for him, but I'm farther north :'( ;D
As for the roof... think it looks cool. Does the color match the truck?

I'm way South of both of you and it's too cold to do anything here too. No garage sucks too!! So, I'll get everything else up and running and working right and then next spring, work on making the thing purddy!!! :D

Hey Chromey, where did you order it from. I'd like to coat my bilge and the areas around the fuel tanks. The clear with a mix of blue and black to make a dark blue would be cool! Thanks
