Ok so i am replacing one of my stringers tommorow. It is a quarter length stringer, now are there any tips anyone can give me. I mean i don't think it will be a big problem. After i cut the old one out and prep the area in which the new one will go. I think Ill just bolt the engine plates into the other stringer line them up and mark my holes on the new stringer. Get a placement for it and glass it in. Am I close ???

Sounds like a hell of a start. I'd be carefull the motor plates dont rack on you, cross measure. .02

Thanks HD ya i'll be sure to measure several times just in case. I dont want the engine leaning to one side.

I mean like one ahead of the other. If that happened when you bolt your block in it will pull it all square, could cause alot of strees. Maybe mark and drill when putting the motor in?

Oh ok ya that could happen huh. Ya I think ill drill them when the whole thing gos in. Thanks
