aside from the usual crowbar, chisel, screwdriver, etc...

the best tip i can give you is to get an oscilating saw... one of these bad boys

and use this tip

its basically a scraper. it's sharp enough to get inbehind the old wood and it'll vibrate it loose fairly easily. i tried an air chisel and all it did was make a TON of noise and vibrate the whole boat. once all of the old wood is out, sand it smooth down to the original glass

then glass it in all new!

Post by: ka0tyk on June 11, 2013, 03:37:16 PM: dont all boats have some sort of transom? maybe not a full 2 1/4" like my I/O but at least something. my tahiti (the cadillac of all boats) had a transom, prolly 1/2" thick?
