Help, Just purchased a Tahiti and the ex-owner showed me to 1/8th inch holes that he drilled into the bottom of the boat. He said he was moving the JetOvator handle. The holes are 1/8 in diameter and quarter inch long through the hull. I have no Idea how to fix it right. Thanks for the help. Hopefully easy fix.
New to SoCal form from Oregon.

Welcome to the site! i'm sure there are many different ways. i've got wooden dowels glued/epoxied in my stringers to fill thru holes, maybe it would work for the hull.

I'm from Cottage Grove, by Eugene, Oregon. Someone at the boat shop said to use marine tex. The holes are only 1/8th of a inch and maybe 1/4-1/2 long. Also the floor is a little soft where my pedistal for the front seat is. Any suggestion, I real would like to use the boat for a summer before rebuilding the floor. The person I bought the boat put the jet0vator in and caused the issues.

If you want to just use it for now, use the Marine Tex epoxy, just make sure to taper the hole and rough up the area surrounding the hole, it gives it something to bite to, otherwise the soft spot needs to be completely removed and repaired and would take weeks to complete.

i have friends in Lebanon ans sweet home...small world!
as too the post, if your interested in coming to tualatin...about 100 miles north...i can help u fix er up...there are several different ways to get it done...for this year we can do a great fix and if you pull the floor its as simple as grinding down the area and laying a couple layers of glass and resin on the inside of the boat and filling the "hole" on the bottom with marine glass filler. there are TONS of jet boat guys up here...were heading out tomorrow to lake yale in washington for the rest of this week through till monday. or if you would like to call me i can do my best to help you over the phone. the only concern i have is that water went in...that means its probably still in. i would hate to see more damage done from that. thinking positive, with a 30 some year old boat, a new floor is never a bad investment if you truly like the hull and ride. is it a full stringer boat??? if it is there is a good chance that the floor isnt glassed in. my hondo and my hallet "looked" like it had a floor but after the carpet was out i realized it wasnt glassed in. anyway, i tend to wonder when i start talking...pm me your number and ill give ya a ring and walk you through it.
