Title: Under hull glass work
Post by: Shaggy on July 20, 2017, 11:20:43 PM: How do I go about repairing this as you can see in the pic the bolt is recessed with glass cracking around it and it leaks. This is my fuel tank mount bolt the second pick is the other side. I would like to know the right way of repairing this

Post by: Steveo909 on July 21, 2017, 05:09:37 PM: I don't think there is supposed to be a screw there. Looks like there was a repair in front of the screw also.
I have never seen anything mounted/bolted through the bottom of the boat others than the intake for the pump.

Post by: Shaggy on July 22, 2017, 07:40:14 AM: It's a 74 Hondo jetboat the bolts are for my fuel tank mounts. It looks like had moved the mount locations before.

Post by: 77_liberty on July 26, 2017, 08:16:01 PM: Mines through bolted. But mine are Allen key domed bolts that they then bondo the dome head in. They work well just gotta redo them every couple years probably from flex.

Hit up Derek Meyer on three fb group he'll lead you in the rite direction or do it for you

I think bolts thru the bottom was more common than we would think.
Were you going to fix it yourself or have a shop do it? It should be fixed properly. You don't want any delimitation happening, especially on the bottom.
