Post by: Tylerjones on June 05, 2008, 03:36:04 PM
I was just woundering what everyone else used on their boats.(mothers, turtle,). I tried mothers synthetic wax and did not like the results.  Ive heard that mothers makes a boat cleaner wax; has anyone
used that?

got to meguiars web site marinerv.meguiars.com or call toll free 800-347-5700 (for free , expert boat care advise)..no not spam i just happen to have a boat care flier from there....it really depends on your boat surface and how messed up it is........

personally i have used them all ,  i used to get free demo's all the time in the body shop, have huge amounts of samples, used them on my show car and my truck..and the boat..(im my useless opinion) most waxes have the same shit in them now, i go for what ever is on sale and is the easiest to use for your application

I use Meguires.  Various compounds depending on the condition of the gel.  Color restore works great if your bleached out and dulled.  Cleaner/Wax for the first coat of the season -then follow up with the straight wax.  Holds up well.

After every outing a thorough wipe-down with this stuff called Driven.  Driven, I think, is only available online?  It's about $20 for a bottle of concentrate which makes a gallon.  Some microfibers along with the wipe down and it will keep through most of the season -if not all.
