Title: what to use
Post by: 77belmont on October 29, 2008, 06:47:07 PM
I have the old carpet torn out and want to paint the bilge area before I put the carpet in the rest of the boat?  My question is what do I do to make the paint stick and what do I use for paint?  No fiberglass experence.  thanks any help would be great.

I have heard alot of people roll on Rhino liner or some other type of bed liner in the bilge. Just scrub a dub dub real good before applying.

rough it up good with a disc sander and squirt some gel coat in. Easy, cheap and looks good
