Title: '74 California performance 18ft ??
Post by: Jetonthewater16ft on August 15, 2015, 03:13:54 PM
Bought a new project today. Just wondering if anyone knew what model this is of the California performance line? It's an 18ft needs plenty of work but is a solid hull from what I can tell. Are these good boats to build? Or ??? Any input is good with me also HIN number included...
Thanks

A California Hull not a California Performance Hull, a copy off a early  Biesemeyer and others.

Ok, so it's a 'California' hull not a California performance. So the hull is most likely a mix of different models? Sorry just alittle confused

the hull performs pretty good, in the early seventies there were a few comp jet Beisemeyers. until rogers took over.

I have one too and was asking similar questions when I first got it.  Mine is a 74 California.  I have been told they have a similar bottom deck to older Rogers boats as well but haven't been able to get much more information.  It handles speed well and turns great overall solid boat I love it.
