WAs your old Kona a full stringer boat or a quarter stringer.
May have made a difference in how straight the bottom was.
They came both ways.

Let me say my old kona was a good boat I liked it a lot. It road bad on the top at wot it had a place diverter and you could help it but I don't think it had enough hp to push it out.it had side tanks at one time but when I got it it had a 25 gal bow tank maybe that made some problems I don't know I'm not knocking kona boats I was just wondering if any one ever had a late 70s kona bubble deck and liked it.i have a 77 marlin bubble deck right know that's not a great boat by no means but it rides nice handles good but it's a quarter stringer it needs to be painted and some wood work in the back. So I'm looking at this kona because it looks like a nice boat and a better hull to put money into.

I've had my Kona for one season and love it. For what it is it handles up to 1 foot chop pretty well.
1/4 stringer with a mild 460 and place diverter
