I don’t know anything about them. Just a couple threads I found. If you search Impatient1 on performance boats, I think he might have more info about his build.

Thanks TrollerDave. What is a gull wing?

A gullwing is kind of a hybrid of a tunnel and v-bottom. Very efficient hull. search for Youngblood TX-19 or California Performance 18 or 19. The 19 is probably one of the best all around low profile jet boat hulls. Fast, roomy, good ride. The 18 is a quick hull, good for drag racing like tunnel boats.

So it looks like it’s actually a 18’ tunnel. A few manufacturers made them with a tweak here and there, but for the most part the same.

One thing to be aware of, is their reputation for hooking on shut down after a fast run. If you do  a search for CP Tunnel you should find some threads about them on SCJB and Performance Boats. There is an extension they add to the front of the sponsons that is supposed to help shutdown. So much that I think California Performance added it’s to the mold for the hull.
Here is one thread.

Now ya got me worried! No its measures 16.6 ft. From what I have found it is an old drag boat. Its got a berkeley 12JG/ R pump on it. I'm just wanting to run 60 or 70 mph

Sorry didn’t mean to worry you. Just wanted to make you aware. At that speed, I would think it wouldn’t be a problem. I think most of the issues were at higher speeds.
Just to be clear, I have no experience with this hull and am no expert in any way. Just passing on info that I have read over the years on these forums. Some guys never had a problem.

Hey I appreciate the responses, just trying to get all the info I can. Not trying to break any speed records, just wanting a little ripper for around the home lake.  Lol

I have seen in pics of boats the accelerator peddle is attached to a bar that is mounted between the stringers, does a company sell them? I would like to do this to mine
