What can anyone tell me about this hull? Good bad different or otherwise? The ride the handling characteristics. And how it reacts to a horse power to speed. Thank you in advance for any and all information

The Advantage you're considering purchasing is based off the Rogers 18' Bonneville hull. I've never been in one, but they are held in high regard as being fast, good handling boats. Advantage and Rogers both built great boats during those years so you're buying a quality hull that should perform well. Advantage has the 18' Bonneville mold and is still building them.
In the other post I mentioned having the same hull, but mine is actually the 20'4" Advantage based off the Rogers Boneville Classic.
There are a couple guys on this site with the same boat that can give you much more info.

I've got a 78 Rogers with the same bottom and it rides better than most jets out there. Like a lead sled in the water, no porpoise, solid turns and really fun to drive.

K so what U all think???? Cuz I got truck packed. Just on the fence. It's just a second boat till I get the baker back together. I just do not want to make the wrong decision so I'm relying on people that know the boat. Thank you very much to everyone

Did I miss a price the guy is asking for it? My honest opinion, don't take it the wrong way!!! unless you got money burning in your pockets, why get yourself into another boat when your trying to fix the one you have. You might run into unforeseen issues with the baker that you need money to fix. I am just that guy that doesn't like getting into other projects when I'm working on one. Like I said I'm not trying to start anything, but looks like a killer boat and advantage always made really good stuff and their hulls do well. In the end it's your decision. Good luck brotha

Wise advice, agreed. It's a killer boat but obviously not pristine condition. You know the most about it so I would make sure you could get out of it for what you put into it 🤔.

Excellent point! The reality is this boat is 28 years old, it's going to need a little love. I understand you're itching to get on the water, but you may end up with two projects on your hands. At a minimum, for your safety, you'll want to replace the steering, throttle, and fwd/rev cables. The pump might need a rebuild as well. When was the last time that was opened up? Also, the condition of motor is a concern. It could be a ticking time bomb. You'll want to compression test it, even then it's still "iffy." On top of all that fuel lines, water lines, filters, oil should all be replaced. Ignition parts will probably need to be replaced: spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
I'm currently on my third boat and all three have needed everything previously mentioned or more. Even though this boat is to get you through the summer, it may end up being more of a money pit than you think.

I built the Circus Boat over about 10 years. Excellent manners, handles power well, fun boat. With it being an open bow it will use HP to carry the bow at speed. My '86 Advantage had a mild 460, e-pump/A impeller, HiTech shoe/ride plate and diverter ran low 70's.
$4500 is a great price and you really can't go wrong if it's truly a turn key boat.

That is it. Floor is a lil soft he says. Need carbs adjusted and timing. And a good bath he says.

Comfortable riding float for sure, pretty heavy tho. I have a Bahner that is the same. They're splashed from the Eliminator Sport cruiser hull. Solid full stringer boat
With some extra HP and some pump work, I think it'll do just fine.
I have a basically stock(as far as I know)454 in mine, Berk JG with an A imp., runs right at 50
