Interesting looking transom. Looks really clean from the pics. Don't see too many jets with the steering on the right. Was it a conversion that you know of?

I don't know anything about it yet. I just came across it today, I will ask some questions tomorrow. I am just worried that I can't find any info on the manufacturer.
Here's a link to the add: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/1996-Allen-Boat-Co-Open-Bow-367032 (http://www.boattrader.com/listing/1996-Allen-Boat-Co-Open-Bow-367032)

That a bitchin boat.

Looks like it might be a tunnel hull. Transom is really similar to my Baker Tunnel.

The hull does look similar to your Baker and others I just looked up. I have a couple more questions, so please bare with me. What are the advantages of a tunnel hull, and why does the jet seem to stick out further on them? Is there any risk in buying a boat where I cannot find any info about the maker? This boat seems somewhat small for an open bow, and the owner says it sits low in the water. Is it realistic to think I could put 6 people in here and cruise around the river? I have found a few other boats out there so I am by no means set on this one, I would just like to get some info before I move on or continue talking to the guy.
Thanks!

It does look a little on the short side for an open bow. 19'???. 10k seems a bit on the high side. Especially this time of year.

I'd almost bet that is a conversion from an out board to a jet. Right hand drive and the way the transom almost has a built in stand off. I'd maybe think twice with out a whole lot of inspecting. Could be a nice boat but....
