What is the best way to fix a hole in the bottom of a boat? I am replacing stringers and I put a hole in the hull when I was scraping the old fiberglass off.

there's many steps to correctly repair a hole in the bottom of your boat. Fist off how big is the hole? Where specifically is it? What year and type of hull? Truthfully, if your replacing stringers and you don't have a very good idea of how to go about repairing this hole now you probably shouldn't be replacing the stringers without more specific detailed knowledge about the correct procedures to effect a safe, quality stringer replacement. Please do more research and gain more specific knowledge before proceeding. West Marine has a fiberglass boat repair and maintenance manual (p/n: 002-550) that would make a good starting point and build from there. If you didn't know how to weld at all would you go out and try to weld the chassis of your car or truck? It's essentially the same kind of deal. good luck.
