What would be the best tool to use for taking out old stringers and transom??

For your skin ...helps the fibers from getting in your pours. ..and it dose work ... ask any HVAC guy ..or anyone that crawls or work in an attic space.

You can peel most of the laminated glass loose eliminating several hours of grinding....

I like the cheap oscillating tool from harbor freight. You can get right up against the floor without cutting through. It worked amazing on my tunnel. I had the bulkheads out in minutes without kicking dust up everywhere

Yeah I've cut glass out with cutting wheels, sawzalls, jigsaws, they all kick up way too much dust. You almost don't even need to wear a respirator with the multitool

When I cut my floor out with my multi tool I taped my shopvac hose to it and it was a dust free cut

i used the same here....sawzall with demo blade, about 12-14". laid the blade so cuts into the corner of stringer where it meets hull and on an angle, and just put the tip in >:D. wasnt trying to cut any of the wood, just glass. grinder works faster, if you can get the disc down in the corner....but also puts out a bit of dust. after both sides were cut....i stuck a pry bar in and worked it up. pry bar was a flat type common in construction similar to the wonder bar GT jets had linked to. i also used a 4 foot pry bar. didnt need any of that leverage....2 footer wouldve worked for me....and a flat piece of wood to use as a fulcrum for the pry bars...so it didnt concentrate force on a small area on the hull. my stringers were smoked, so soon as glass was cut....they came up no problem. i havent done the transom yet, planning on it....and i was gonna use the grinder there where wood was tabbed in place. the multitool sounds like a good way to go too. soon as they go on sale, ill be grabbing one. with either tool, be carefull. it wont take much of a slip to start digging into the hull....
respirator should be used, glass not good for lungs. to minimized itching: tyvex suit or similar with hood. gloves that cover tyvex sleeves. i taped my glove cuff to suit. baby powder. safety glasses. basically all the stuff from the above posts.
plus shade....suit gets warm.
