???Hey guys Im a newbie here. Just picked up my first jet boat. It is a 18' 1974 sleekcraft rebel with a jacuzzi jet (wj) thank god its not a yj lol. Will post lots of pics soon. Was wondering is or was this a good boat? No trailer or engine, but I picked it up for $100.00 bucks.

For a hundred bucks even if the hull is junk you could make money selling off the jet 

And if the hull is usable, you got yourself a good place to start a build.

What you might think about is looking for another boat that is damaged or the hull is rotted out for a parts/trailer donor.

for a 100 bucks you cant go wrong,

  For a hundo, I'd be all over it! I don't know everything about them, but the ones I have and have had are all extremely well built sleds. 

Moo is a 78 Sleek Rebel. For a 1/4 stringer boat, very stout, takes rough stuff pretty well. She stood up to somewhere between 500-600 HP with no problems at all. She's gonna be running a lot more than that this coming year, so we'll see. Not racing hulls, the Rebel is a pretty heavy layup that IMO makes it a much better all around boat than my full stringer 75 20' Sleek (Streaker, maybe, still up in the air on what that one is really). That one will pound the hell out of ya. It'll probably be sold this spring, the little Rebel is just more flexible and useable.

Get some pics up of it when ya get it.  If it comes with the doghouse, I know a couple people looking for one and you can double your money on that alone.
