no, but if youre referring to this one on craigslist....that dudes had it listed for over a year....maybe longer... i would REALLY look at it carefully....theres gotta be a reason no ones bought it yet.

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/boa/546679142.html

he started listing it at like 12k....now its down to 7600

I saw it on cl for 3800 with a 396 in it and the pics loooked prity. I was thinking there is something must be wrong so I sent him a mesage about the hull. full stringer? Or soft spots?

Some companies were very well know for there v-drives and offered jets just to round out the line-up. The jets usually being a splash of something else , like an eliminator , southwind , tahiti , ect. ect .

dimarco was one of those companies that was very well known for there v-drives , some of the best I think , I dont have a clue though as to the dimarcos jet heritage . Jim Brock raced one in the 1/4 and in circles successfully . Maybe he'll chime in on it .

In line with hat Beerjet just said, that hull looks exactly like my Hawaiian hull, which is a splash of Ralph's Hornet, seems to be a poplular style for 75-79 jets, but I could be wrong.

...which is a splash of a liberty....which is probably a splash from something else. There arent many 'OG' hulls. everyone just copied someone else.

Right on Skip . I was always led to believe that in the 70's there were only a handfull of builders that made the original molds and about 80% of the jets out there are splashes of those  . Mine's a splash of a beismeyer jet for instance.

The boat listed in the CL ad , the Dimarco boat is a splash of the Southwind, the boat Lucky Stiff has is a splash of the Hornet. The two have nothing in common.

The Hornet came before the Liberty, you got that backwards.

the dimarco is a splash of dominator jet boat , dimarco traded a boat for one of his, i helped him straighten the bottom and block out the rest of the boat, then he took a mold off of it, the boat on craigs list with the 396 in it , was a friends boat, iut had a ford in it went pretty good, he sold it and the new owner wanted a chevy, i think the ford was faster!! as far as i know the boat only needs a steering cable, Jim

Maybe it was a splash of a Dominator, regardless, it was still a Southwind splash. :)

And in todays market for 7600 it shouldn't need anything.  ::)
