Brad can't agree more no need to come up with 100 mph hardware and put it in a 70 MPH hull. This sounds like the Kid who put twin 1150 cfm nominators in a stock 350 and couldn't understand why his truck didn't run any better. Or worse yet Malcome Cambell who solved everything with horsepower but forgot to survive to tell the story.
If Ryan, you want to go fast, you can do it. But do it right. It's not good for you and it's not good for the sport if you hurt yourself or someone else. It really doesn't take that much time or effort to upgrade your hull and do it right. Remember those stringers were installed to meet USCG standards ( probably posted on your data plate with 250-300hp max) and the things we do tho these boats now will stress a boat to the limits when traveling in the rough at high speed. Be careful and God Speed...
