Trying to find some history about Hallett I can't find anything anywhere I know they still make boats today but why are there so few old jets not a bad thing I'm proud to have one of the few but were they low production? were they only special order back in the 70's? were they a splash? If any one has some info to pass on I would really appriciate it.

please use the search button, I personally have posted a lot of info about 70's era Hallett boats. Skip is also a great resource for these boats. Pleas post a pic of yours so we know specifically which one you have.
What are you looking to do? Just find about them or???? what????

i believe he has a 19ft hallett bubbledeck like us. except where yours is yellow/white and mine is blue/white and haulsballs is red/white jet fever's is green/white. super clean too

From what I have found,
Hallett boats were made by Barron Boats Inc. in Irwindale not to far from where they are now. Not as common as Eliminator, CP, Kona, Tahiti etc but there are a few around and from the ones I've seen they have similar trim and paint. I found a few old ads on Performance Boat but this one has a shot of a bubble deck. I'm sure there are more people here that can fill in the blanks on Hallett, I would like to know more myself.

You've made a great choice for a boat. You're right that Halletts aren't as common as Eliminators, etc. The biggest reason is price and availability, Hallett never built spec boats. Each one was made to order for each customer (for the most part). The fact that they're basically a custom boat made the price higher. People didn't really care about the great ride, superb craftsmanship or longevity of them, they were more into the fastest, cheapest way to get on the water.
The bubbledeck, sportdeck and jetster molds are in Australia where they're still being produced today.
I'll sell you mine for the right price.....

;D Right on fellas thanx for the info I think its cool we all have different colors and yep your right when I went to DMV they pretty much said it was a custom order back in the day. I dont see too many of them and when I do they are ALWAYS CLEAN! and damn they ride good over the rollers a little heavy though

Not much more info. Hallett boats are known for being one of the most solid boats ever made. Most of the money went into the glass and they skimped on the gel . Mine and a few others have spots where the second color is bleeding through . Hallett has always been a staple in the ski racing circuit and having moved some part of their operation over there is an obvious move or addition. Rumor I heard was the vector bottoms are actually copies of the spectra bottom or were based off the spectra. In my opinion, the most solid boats ever built. Hands down . AND fast for there weight.
