I found a flat bottom hallet with new bbc and rebuilt berkeley pump and possibly purchased it (gave deposit of 100). Boat was reuphostered and painted as well. Price is 1700. On the sides of the boat the paint fell off in an almost perfect mirror image of the fiberglass tanks on both sides. Is this something i should just walk away from? Im a mechanic and after freshening up a 71 horizon im getting a little more comfortable with the whole boat thing. Can this be fixed...has it ruined the stringers etc...any and all info is greatly appreciated as im supposed to pick the boat up saturday If i just need to cut out old tanks and install aluminum it really doesnt seem like something i couldnt do at the shop i work at on my freetime?

I am a lazy guy. I think I would run from this deal. Not unless you have a thing 4 flat bottom jet boats.
