I was wondering if someone could help me identify this hull. It has no HIN on the transome. Full stringers. Jacuzzi intake. 18' footer. I called Nevada fish and game and they said it was originally homebuilt in California and registered as a 1958 wooden boat.

It came with a trailer I purchased. Had the title for the trailer but nothing on the boat. Is it a pain in the ass to register it as home built thru dmv?

I would run a flash light along the inside of the hull where the HIN should be.
(In the dark of course)
If it's already been registered, it should be fine.

I checked out the inside of the hull and the tank it's blocking my view. I'm going to pull it out of storage as soon as I finish my trailer to start working on the hull

I guess I should say it's more uncommon than anything.
