Hello all,
Need help installing rub rail. Have an 88 Commander 20 footer. Should we do rubber or aluminum? We used to have an aluminum rail, but when we got it painted they took it off and broke it, and decided to throw it away, so dont have anything to go off of. Not sure if the different types matter or if they are just your preference. If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

There is a rub rail thread on here some where from a coulle months ago. Has some videos in it as well as some good first hand experience. Do a search for it and I will see if I can find it for ya.

Just got done installing mine...It was rigid vinyl, kinda like pvc. Just make sure you lay down some tape or have a line to run off of. I had to go back and move a couple areas for a perfect line. I also used SS hardware and a dab of silicone on each screw. I used #8 3/4 and a 1/8 bit. The corners were a bit tricky but having a heat gun made it curve nicely.
