Title: Mounting bilge pump

I'll give that a try and let you know how it works out.

I know it's probably a dumb question. I just wanted to know the best stuff to use.

Post by: ka0tyk on March 28, 2014, 01:55:56 PM: i drilled a few holes into the bottom of the blue clip and then i used thickened epoxy to affix it to the bottom at the lowest point of the bilge in the rear. i could pick the boat up from it i bet.

Post by: SoCalPSD on March 28, 2014, 03:12:48 PM: I bought a piece of aluminum flat stock from Home Depot and made an L bracket. Secured one end to the lowest transom adapter bolt and the other to the bottom of the pump.

Scotch Brite and lacquer thinner to clean it, big dollop of hot glue, push the base down, hold for ten seconds, click the pump on, go boating..

Holds very well, all you need to remove it is a heat gun....

same reason you'd mount the motor. it would suck if it was floppin around in the bilge...

I hardly ever see them mounted in any way....
They usual do a pretty good job of bouncing their way into the right spot on there own.
The couple I have seen mounted are usually just glued down.
