I ran in to this guy selling the boat below. I heard Howard makes the best boat is this true? He wants 9,000 it's an out drive with extra prop and telling me it needs nothing but carb rebuild and it's already paid for, I just need to take it to the shop (inland marine) and drop off for repair. Is this a good deal? Please advise.

The boat looks pretty clean. I don't know much about outboards/IO I know that they can get expensive to fix pretty quick. I think for 9k the price might be a little steep. Howards are pretty good boats. Is there a reason that you are looking for I/O? I think that you can find a get open bow for a better price if you look around a little bit. There were a couple for sale here on the boards that are pretty clean. I think that 5150whiteboy had a open bow Hawaiian that was super clean for about the same price.

I text an emailed whiteboy and he never got back to me. I would totally take his boat if he called me back. Look like it only needs enterior.

howard makes a nice boat. you're paying for the name and build quality on that one.
as always make sure everything checks out stringers/floor/etc. in an I/O boat you need to also inspect the transom as thats what the drive/motor bolt to and where all the force is applied.

I'm not selling my Hawaiian unless someone has 16,500 lol I was actually looking at one with a buddy who was buying... Nick had one for sale and I was on that add because I had seen the boat and how clean it is here is a boat my buddy is selling tho.

I already checked this one out. It's all soft floored needs new floor and the leather needs to be replaced. Instant - 3,000 when purchased.
