I don't think I asked this before but who knows, the old brain is getting forgetful but I was wondering, is there a way to draw the oil out of wood where replacing it wouldn't be feasible? AT least good enough to re-apply a couple of layers of glass.

not sure ??? i allways replace wood that is bad, oil will never dry out and chemicals are probably not good for wood

I agree with Ralph on this, and glassing on oily wood is a waist of time :banghead:
Replace it and dont worry about it anymore ;D

I guess this will be one of the chores when I do the complete refinish job on the hull. Thanks.
