Title: Predator boats (gullwing)
Post by: DICKWEED on June 22, 2010, 07:20:21 PM
Any information on who builds these boats (Predator 19' gullwing) and are they still in production. I believe they were made in the San Diego area.

Are you planning to buy one or do you already have one?

I Might be wrong, but I think that is the mold that Jason Rouse(Riverdad) now has. I think it went from Neil to Dave Batista to Greg Shoemaker to Jason.
Greg Shoemaker has the modified Eliminator 19 Daytona mold that Neil used to own.

I would talk to RiverDad. He seems to be quite versed in these hulls.

Jason doesn't lay them up himself.
He has a professional do it.
He does work on the laminating schedule though and RiverDads boats look amazing.
Your gonna want to talk to Neil if he's the one that built it.
It might be the same mold but diffrent builders take diffrent aproaches on how their boats are built and more importantly rigged.

Hey guys, that is my mold.  Neil had Alex at aftershock laminate most of his boats I believe.  He's a good guy and his boats were pretty nice.  On the other site he is sdpm and still owns sd performance marine in Spring Valley. The mold was getting pretty beat so we just tooled a new plug out of the old mold and built a brand new mold.  Should be done this month, just waiting on Jeff Bennett to blueprint the plug before we build the bottom half of the mold.  Can't wait to get it done.....  If that's the teal boat in SD, it looks pretty nice.
