Recently found a Tahiti jet boat for sale on Craigslist. Wondering if anyone could possibly tell me the year and model? It’s 21’

Hi, it seems like if you have a 20' SCJ "Super Cobra Jet" and for the year, you need to read the HIN located on the transom right upper corner. it should be a 12 character number "TAH0000M78A" in this case pay attention to the last for digits, M= Model, year= 78 and month (A) = August.

Just an FYI-
That sled has a Panther pump.
Not compatible with any other pumps.
Axial flow pump, not much for performance. Once rebuilt, it does function. More horsepower doesn't really help much.
Major undertaking to swap to a Berkeley style pump. (Rebuilding the bottom)
Just wanted to let you know where you stand with that pump.

Doesn’t someone manufacture a bolt on adjustable trim nozzle for panther? Kinda like a place diverter? Idk.
